Matter of Survival

Human Settlement in the modern developed world had reached a point for many where issues of survival were taken for granted. Our consumer based societies assumed food, water and shelter would always be there as long as we wanted and had the money to obtain them. As our environment is changing under the weight of global warming, populations continue to grow creating more mouths to feed and the carbon footprint of cities exceed the land necessary to support them, Sustainable cities will need to reconsider strategies for the delivery of the aspects of human settlement necessary for survival.
