Purpose

Matter of Purpose

Humans fundamentally, as thinking organisms, have a need for defining purpose in their lives.  They do not settle for the least common denominator.  They want to contribute to a supportive and healthy society, better themselves to make life more meaningful, and be a part of the creation of things that support and amaze the minds and bodies of humanity.  To achieve these goals often requires the mustering and equitable distribution of energy and technology.  This can no longer be an activity which only considers a limited range of variables.  It has to be comprehensive if we hope to avoid future conflict in our world.  Our purpose needs to embrace our dreams and the potential of innovation while at the same time weigh its consequences for future generations.
