Social Justice

Given the economic and educational contrasts between rural and urban China, these new residents are likely to be poorly prepared to adjust to their new urban home. Failure to anticipate the transitional needs of those new residents runs the risk of making these new residents a burden for the community as opposed to a new asset to be harnessed for the public good. In sustainable communities, assimilation and social justice is achieved through the acknowledgement of difference and the accommodation of eveyone.
