Growing populations coupled with greater urban development and global economies have caused a radical shift in how humans attain and use agricultural goods. Population increases have led to the demand of more food production per acre while arable land has begun to be engulfed by our cities. In order to approach a more sustainable future, we must look to localized food production and urban farming to increase the accessibility of food to the world's ever-growing population.
